Graham has a good point about time scales. Many people don't even make a
will.

I don't feel that cryonics offers any real palliative to the fear of death.
It does enable you to perish with the knowledge that you have done your best
to survive. But it adds the knowledge that even to get cryopreserved you
rely on the goodwill of many officials who have power over you and indeed
who may get pleasure in exercising that power just for the sake of it.
