Graham has a good point about time scales. Many people don't even make a will. I don't feel that cryonics offers any real palliative to the fear of death. It does enable you to perish with the knowledge that you have done your best to survive. But it adds the knowledge that even to get cryopreserved you rely on the goodwill of many officials who have power over you and indeed who may get pleasure in exercising that power just for the sake of it. -- Sincerely, John de Rivaz: http://John.deRivaz.com for websites including Cryonics Europe, Longevity Report, The Venturists, Porthtowan, Alec Harley Reeves - inventor, Arthur Bowker - potter, de Rivaz genealogy, Nomad .. and more Rate This Message: http://www.cryonet.org/cgi-bin/rate.cgi?msg=23448
