Sorry about the bandwidth loss). ***************** Alcor UK July meeting minutes ************ ALCOR UK Minutes of the meeting held at Eastbourne at 12:00am on 4th of July 1993, Sunday. Garret to continue to press for a response. Action continues 3[6]93/AJC Introductory letter Brenda Peters has sent Andrew a mound of recruitment and fund-raising literature Action continues 4[6]93/MCP HOPRT account Michael to resurrect the HOPRT bank account Action continues 3 Progress 3.1 Dues (and bracelets) Invoices will be posted to Alcor UK late payers shortly. The posting will also include a request for all members with the toll- free 800 number on their bracelets to identify themselves so that new bracelets can be ordered (the toll-free number is only valid in the US). Note that although Alcor may be moving to a new location in the near future the old number (0101-714-736-1703) will still be kept open and calls automatically forwarded. 1[7]93/MCP Michael to send out the invoices and request for 800 notification combined. New Action. We are currently aware that Andrew, Steve W, Trish, Alan and Sylvia have bracelets with the 800 number. Note also that the recent confusion over the temperature de- animated patients should be stored at until the emergency response team takes over is (apparently!) now settled. It seems that either 2 or 10 degrees celsius are equally acceptable (so presumably the current statement on the bracelets of "...while cooling with ice to 2C." will be retained, so that all the bracelets are consistent) 3.3 Publicity. Cryonics was featured in the popular strip cartoon "Alex". The telephone number in CRYONICS magazine is now out of date (being Russell's ex residence). The correct number is 0323 460257 (the facility). 2[7]93/GS Garret to inform Alcor US of the correct number. New Action. 4 Any Other Business 4.1 Post-meeting decision: The next AUK meeting (includes a midsummer barbecue!) will be held the residence of Andrew Clifford and Patrica Cross at 11:00am on 1st of August 1993.
