Good article -- thanks for sharing.

I know Jack Marburger -- he was a physics professor at Stony Brook in
1996, when I started grad school there.  He had just recently gone back to
teaching after a long stint as university president.

Much as I can't stand the Shrub in the White House, I have to say that I
thought Jack was a thoroughly decent guy.  Sounds like he's different when
he is in underling mode, though, as opposed to when he is in teaching mode
or in administrative mode (e.g. as univeristy prez or as director of
Brookhaven National Lab).
