Wishing oblivion upon anyone, no matter how annoying, is cruel. Personally, I imagine that in the future, persons whose behavior is not only antisocial but harmful will be assigned to virtual realities where they can hang out until they learn to "work and play well with others". Live long and prosper, Kennita -- Emancipate yourselves from mental slavery; none but ourselves can free our minds. -- Bob Marley, "Redemption Song" Hi Kennita, I agree with you and Frank Tipler that in an eternal future the anti-social should be kept in some sort of virtual reality until they reform. But if they're not isolated in that way, the future would not be so pleasant, would it? I don't wish oblivion for anyone: I support Mike Perry's idea of universal immortalism. Nevertheless, I might not want to spend as much time with some people as with others. Among those I would not want to spend time with are people who never respond to any polite inquiries but merely re-send political garbage they've picked up somewhere or other. Not even a low-level AI would do that! P.S. -- Kennita, I suspect that you would be among the more interesting and fun people to spend time with!
