Subject: Celebrity Signups

I think it is worth pursuing celebrity signups. But we should be careful not
to ask someone ** who has already been asked** unless we acknowledge that
this person is being asked again in the hope that he or she has had a change
of mind about cryonics.

Specifically, I am thinking of Sir Arthur C. Clarke. He has said that a) he
believes cryonics will probably work, and b) he does NOT want to pursue it
for himself. He gave as a reason for his rejection of personal cryonic
suspension that he does not want to start life all over again in a future
that may not want him. I think we can understand why someone as famous and
accomplished as Sir Arthur would prefer not to start over from scratch.

So, please, do some research on each celebrity before pressing them to
consider cryonics. I hope that you will succeed.

Michael LaTorra
