Garret Smyth:

>>Listening to a local commercial radio station here inLondon (LBC FM

>>Sunday I heard Frank Bough doing a trailer for his show in the week.
>>He mentioned several items, amongst them cryonics.
>>This may not seem much to mention, but it is a bit of a mystery to

Ralph Whelan:

>We do get the occasional call for U.K. interviews. ... and sometimes
>we're too busy to keep track. I did one about ten days ago, and
>that's probably the LBC FM one.

Still a mystery though. The author Peter James launched his new book
*Host* on Oct 13th. It is a horror story of the Stephen King variety
and draws heavily on cryonics as part of the theme. (The hero finds his
putridly decomposed father after Crycon Corp lets all their patients
thaw out (by page 43). He says he has been talking up cryonics a lot
in publicity interviews, including LBC in the last week or so! Perhaps
it was him. I don't know whether *Host* is being launched in the US,
or when, but it probably deserves a review in *Cryonics*. Alcor is
favourably mentioned in the story and several times in the
acknowledgements.

Regards, AJC.
