I'm getting ready to take off for several days, but I would to breifly
respond.

You write in part: Of  "Life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness," the
first and condition precedent is life. With life you always have at least a
degree of  
liberty; without life you have no liberty whatsoever, no choices at all. 

I agree with this statement Bob, but while I firmly believe in the right to
life, I do not believe that entails positive rights by others to preserve
it.
