Subject: Skrecky refs on epithalamin & thymolin

For Doug Skrecky:

For my GUIDE article Update on epithalamin I know of the article you
summarize. And yes, the Russians have tried various short peptide
versions of thymosin to see wht they do for longevity, too. An full
chapter on a drug in the GUIDE needs not just experiments on healthy
mammals that show a lifespan increase, but also information of use
of the substance in human patients (not necessarily for aging) and
toxicity information too. If you found such articles and told me of
them I'd be thankful and of course give your credit for finding
them. (The same goes for anyone else reading this message).

Right now I expect to bring out the new chapter on thymosin and its
relatives later than the other Updates. Doing an Update involves
more than just finding a drug which increases lifespan of a mammal;
that's just the start of it.

             Best wishes and long long lives for all,

                   Thomas Donaldson
