It is a small world indeed. I have discovered that friend of mine used to work
as an entertainer at small parties in Manhattan where a gentleman with the last
name of Flynn tried to interest very wealthy people in buying his first cryonics
machine for $35,500.

The parties were well attended. They aimed at the "old rich" rather than
the"nouveau rich" because they believed the "old rich" were more open to new
ideas.

The stumbling block at that time was that no one had been frozen. The guests
also wanted proof that some frozen animals/people had been revived.

My friend described his gig as a "great job" since he got $35 clear for each
party. He says some of the women attending would give him valuable pieces of
jewelry if they particularly liked his performance.

He did "classical" renditions of music by The Beatles and Bob Dylan, names those
attending had heard of but whom they didn't know produced such quality music.

I hope to get a video camcorder soon and hope to tape his memories of those
early days. Anyone have any suggestions as to where cryonics history is/should
be stored?
