There is an IBM PC virus that has access to some addresses from the 
List and is using them in the 'To' and 'From' of virus transmitting 
mails. So, it is possible that someone sent you a mail assuming that 
the 'From' address on one of those was valid.

It could have been the virus itself. On Windows, infection can sometime 
occur without explicit opening of an attachment.


The most popular 'From' I have seen is:
Kennita

RAMole
Mike99
Kqb

are also common.

Most likely, someone who has Kennita in their address book remains 
infected, since I got two of those yesterday.

Replying to virus mail senders or posting info to the List is a waste 
of time. Everyone must have an anti-virus program installed and update 
the program's data files at least monthly, if the problem is to be 
avoided.
