Mike Perry: You have interesting things and in a sense comforting things to say about Bob Nelson, who was once thought of by many as a cryonics ogre. As for pain, death, failure, and all those other things, life is not easy and may never be, even if we eliminate aging and death from our lives. We're all engaged in a continuous struggle against entropy, and any slip will kill us. Or as the quotation at the start of TALES OF SKASTOWE says, "God made the world from his delight in pain and the cold darkness that it brings. And he set the world in motion towards cold and dark everywhere." And yes, I hope that Bob Nelson can someday be suspended, too. The number of new ideas that spring into the world completely polished and fully understood in all their implications is (and I think always will be) ZERO. Cryonics is the same. Best wishes and long long life for all, Thomas Donaldson Rate This Message: http://www.cryonet.org/cgi-bin/rate.cgi?msg=24827
