X-Message-Number: 2499 Subject: MERRY CRYONICS XMAS From: (Ben Best) Date: Mon, 20 Dec 1993 22:51:00 -0500 For cryonicists who want to keep the "X" in Xmas, but can't afford to put a suspension membership under someone's Xmas tree -- try the "Nanotechnology Playhouse". The "Nanotechnology Playhouse" is actually a booklet and computer diskette intended for children with computers -- but I suspect it is instructive for all ages (I only recently saw a copy and haven't managed to try it out yet). It describes molecular machines, and my guess is that the diskette provides projects for a CAD type construction of molecular machines. The book specifically describes the use of nanomachines in medical nanosurgery and against aging (no mention of cryonics or death). Eric Drexler and his wife are listed as consultants in the production of the "Nanotechnology Playhouse".
