And being fatal means loss of identity and loss of identity means loss
of continuity and loss of continuity means being fatal. Round and
round we go.

And "sudden" or "drastic" are very fuzzy words to be the foundation
for a theory of identity. If I blow myself up with dynamite the atoms
in my body will not change much from one picosecond to the next and
that time frame is as good as any other, the very tiny changes in that
very short time are not fatal.
