Subject: unambiguous language?

Mike Perry thinks it might be possible to devise code to represent a

language that any intelligent alien could interpret, without any Rosetta Stone.

Very doubtful. After all, every natural language so far in use, and every

formal system also, fails of perfection and is subject to misinterpretation. If
humans can disagree on the meanings of their languages--as they frequently
do--how can we expect to devise an unambiguous universal language?
