Subject: Instinct can save your personality
Date: Wed, 12 Jan 2005 14:06:53 -0500

It might be possible one day to have your memory and id stored permanently
in your own brain and not be dependent on the fragile synapses. Many animals
can do complex tasks instinctively. The advantage of this would be that it
would be easier to preserve your personality because it is hardwired in the
DNA. This should be much easier to do than transferring personality to
clones or machines. All the biological mechanisms and materials such as
enzymes are already there. This is not science fiction. It is possible.
