Average temperature was 20.8 C during this run. Estimated maximal longevity using the formula (363 - T*11.2) is 130 days. Cold blended broccoli sprouts did nothing before, but I was so impressed by what I'd read about sulforaphane, that I tried a heated blend here as well. This also turned out to be a dud. Delicata squash may have offered some temporary benefits, but it also made the fly food appear wet. Since aged flies lack the ability to fly or walk on the side of the bottle, I expected this wet surface to eventually increase their risk of infections. As expected the survival curve for delicata fed flies was truncated. Finally the last fly to die was one fed a low dose of arugula. This is here regarded as a chance finding.
