To Mark Plus:

Didn't you remember what I said about looking at alternatives? We can't
decide that energy will be low just because OIL WELLS are running
low. Not only that, but Niugini is an underdeveloped country and its
far from obvious that its problems with its airline really derive from
the current expense of oil.

I'll just go and buy shares in the world's presently largest uranium
mine, Cameco.

One problem that US airlines seem to be having is that customers now
tend to want no-frills services, and aren't willing to pay the much
more expensive prices of the current "major" US carriers just to
be served mint julips in flight.

Besides, just what is your purpose in putting about all this doom
and gloom? Are you signed up? You sound to me like someone who's
trying to convince us that the world is headed for doom, and
therefore signing up for suspension is just a waste of money.

Yes, economic problems do impact on our personal suspension
arrangements because they can increase the cost of suspensions.
A lot of inflation would make all our insurance policies so
carefully set up worthless. Not to mention warfare which actually
comes to the US, deadly flu epidemics, etc. The proper attitude
is not to throw up ones hands in despair but to join with others
and try to find at least a personal way out of the problem.

Best wishes and long long lives for all,

                  Thomas Donaldson
