Bruce Waugh, well-known to the cryonics community as a long-time advocate
and vigorous supporter of cryonics, has agreed to accept the position of
Director in the Cryonics Society.
 
Bruce has been a member of Alcor, and is a member, as well as a former
Treasurer and Vice President, of the Cryonics Society of Canada.   

He has served alongside Brian Wowk, Ben Best, Charles Platt, and others, as
a Director of CryoCare, and his activities as host to the burgeoning
cryonics movement in Canada have been profiled in Core magazine
(http://www.geocities.com/i_khider/cryonics).
 
Formerly general counsel for Canada's largest downstream oil company, Bruce
is a member in good standing of the bars of California and Ontario.  He's
practiced corporate and tax law in Calgary, Toronto, and New York City.  He
currently resides in Sarasota, Florida, and is an independent derivatives
trader.
 
Bruce Waugh is a gentleman whose generosity, hospitality, thoughtfulness and
keen active commitment to furthering the cause of cryonics is known and
appreciated by all who have had the pleasure of knowing him.  The Cryonics
Society is proud to accept him as its newest Director.
