IIUC, venture capitalists aren't interested in philosophy,
they're interested in business plans -- specifically,
business plans that will make them big bucks in the next
three to five years.  I think it's early to contact such
people; maybe it's more like time to contact some
entrepreneurs and other idea people.  There should at
least be a business plan in the works before you make
much noise, though it may not be finished till much later
(actually, it may be scrapped and rewritten a number of
times before the end, but that doesn't mean you shouldn't
be working on one now).

Not very inspiring -- a conference that was cancelled,
for a company that (apparently) no longer exists.  Was
it held the previous year?
