Date: Fri, 1 Apr 2005 22:54:23 -0500 This state can only be confirmed by microscopic studies because when you look at a cat or other scan you can only show what part of the brain has been replaced by spinal fluid. I have read of cases where spinal fluid has compressed the neurons to within an inch of the skull. Yet these people lived normal lives. Thus the question should be. Have the neurons been compressed or destroyed. Only microscopic studies can show that. But once you kill the patient you can only come to one conclusion.
