Well, knowing most folk's screwed-up priorities, you're probably
right. But it should also be noted that H2S has the unusual
property of causing the nose to stop perceiving its smell after
a few inhalations. (Part of its deadly charm.)

That would certainly be welcome - but don't hold your
breath... H2S is what the body's cells use as part of
their own feedback mechanism to control metabolism.
Good luck on finding anything that can shut down
metabolism by 90% and *isn't* unsafe if used improperly.

Other lurkers have written me that they, too are pretty
excited by this discovery. H2S looks like it may turn out
to be one of those "bonus surprises" that provide a
simple solution to a difficult problem that has vexed
researchers for decades. (Providing of course, it's not
another cold fusion...)
