X-Message-Number: 26178 Date: Sat, 14 May 2005 02:32:14 -0400 From: Subject: Cryonet Rating Results (to: Moderator) I write in acknowledgment of the importance of some rating feedback. With this recently implemented system, I have seen some mention of the weighting of ratings. However, I have seen no explanation of what rating an individual poster must descend to achieve, in order to get his/her postings excluded from the digest blast (the actual posting to the archives seems to be unaffected by anything). In fact, I was subjectively impressed with the swiftness by which one or two posters got their postings excluded, while others who seemed to get regular poor ratings for various criteria never seemed to be affected at all. This discouraged me from bothering to continue to post ratings. Perhaps the moderator, to whom we sincerely owe immense appreciation for the work and effort to keep this forum going, would care to explain exactly how the exclusion process works; i.e., what number triggers the event, and is this a software function or a manual intervention? Thanks. Rate This Message: http://www.cryonet.org/cgi-bin/rate.cgi?msg=26178
