Subject: 178'th update on fly longevity experiments

This is the 178'th update of my fly longevity experiments. Average
temperature was 22.4 C during this run. Estimated maximal longevity using
 the formula (363 - T*11.2) is 112 days.
Bacopa monniera has been touted as supporting brain function. Since
motor neuron degeneration is a central feature in fly aging, bacopa gets
the fly test. Although other forms of vitamin E have proved to be
disappointments, ever optimistic I try the gamma version in this run.
The lowest dose of bacopa may have offered some modest benefit, but a
repeat test will be needed to determine whether this is a chance finding.
Gamma tocopherol turned out to be a dud.
