Perhaps a few of the sacrifices believe that too, but I cannot believe that every one of them do... or even many of them do. Unfortunately we're presently far fewer in number than those others who believe in their vicious, cruel religion, and even think that their God is kind and good when he asks for such sacrifices. I know no way we can change that other than by continuing to grow; and I note that cryonics is still growing. One way or another, the time will come when in at least one society we become numerous enough that we will start to successful statement, and many will lose their belief in their version of religion. It's not that they would lose their religion entirely: no doubt we'll see lots of versions spring up, each with their own interpretation, but that too will eventually wear down and almost everyone will be a cryonicist, while only a very small proportion holds to the old vicious God. In short, the only thing we can do now is to try to convince others, one on one, of the merits of cryonics. Best wishes and long long life for all, Thomas Donaldson Rate This Message: http://www.cryonet.org/cgi-bin/rate.cgi?msg=26371
