How very interesting! By the law of unintended consequences,
Kevin Brown's well-intentioned system to control abuse of
Cryonet apparently can be used by people who wish to censor
Cryonet. Hm, I wonder how many votes are required to make a
"poster's reputation too low"? If a few people decide to
suppress a certain type of criticism, can they get together
and blacklist a critic?

I checked the Cryonet reference messages and posting
instructions online, but cannot find a source to remind me
how reputation values are calculated. I suggest that a
reasonably large minimum number of negative votes should be
required--at least 20, say--before any blacklisting occurs.

This would apply even if there are no positive votes.

tru_numberman may be irritating to some people, but (s)he was
not abusing the list and had a point to make.
