Mood Ring Cell phones will soon be able to tell when we sound bored, engaged or even romantically attracted. Could this new technology change the way we communicate? Researchers at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology's Media Lab have come up with a new way to tell whether a guy is just not that into you, or whether she's going to say yes to a date. Under the direction of Alex (Sandy) Pentland, students at the Media Lab's Human Dynamics Group have developed voice-analyzing software that works with cell phones and can tell when users are disinterested, empathetic even when they are attracted to the speaker. http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/9053583/site/newsweek/ Is this the beginning of what James Halperin talked about in his book, "The Truth Machine"? http://tinyurl.com/9hygv Rate This Message: http://www.cryonet.org/cgi-bin/rate.cgi?msg=26884
