Actually, those who want to donate money to the Cryonics Institute (CI)
for research might prefer to donate to the Research Fund of the Immortalist
Society (IS). The Immortalist Society is a 501(c)3 organization, so donations
made to that organization are tax deductable for Americans, whereas
the Cryonics Institute is simply a non-profit organization. For those
living outside of the United States, it makes no difference, so
Research Donations can be made to either CI or IS.

Both CI and IS have the same address:

24355 Sorrentino Court
Clinton Township, MI 48035 USA

and the same phone number:

(586) 791-5961

The latter can be used for credit card payment -- VISA, MASTERCARD
or AMERICAN EXPRESS (not DISCOVER) to either organization. Payment
through PayPal for the Cryonics Institute is to and
payment to the Immortalist Society is to

Tax receipts for Research Fund donations will be issued to Americans
who make payment to the Immortalist Society.

Currently the focus of our research is on reducing cold ischemic
damage. It would be wonderful to be able to ship patients in water
ice for vitrification at CI from anywhere in the world. To
do this means improved organ preservation solution to reduce
cold ischemic damage in the brain.

We have further plans to improve our vitrification protocol
once finished with the cold ischemia work. We have no immediate
plan for working on the cracking problem. It is possible that
we will work on cracking eventually, but there is no guarantee of this.
