Though I agree politically with David Stodolsky and Peter Merel, I also 
agree with Bob Ettinger that they should limit their discussions on 
CryoNet to matters that directly affect cryonics. 

Terrorism, political ideology, severe weather, the price of oil, the 
availability of liquid Nitrogen, the bureaucratic requirements for 
certification as an undertaker, are all valid topics to the extent that 
they a) nurture the entire Cryonics community [without regard, on this 
forum, to the needs of the entire world] and b) help develop improved 
procedures and conditions for the practice of Cryonics.

Going outside those bounds tends to be divisive rather than nurturing, 
given the truly glorious range of individuality that cryonicists represent.
