The time of "Cheap Oil" will pass if we permit the current monopoly
to continue. It costs a dollar a barrel to get oil out of the ground
in Saudi Arabia. The price is set by OPEC.

Proven Reserves have never been higher. There are hundreds of
billions of barrels in Venezuela, in Saudi Arabia, in Iraq, and in
Iran, not to mention the tar sands in Canada, which contain an equal
amount. Given projected consumption, this will last until fusion
power comes on line by 2050. It has also been established that
methane is evolving from the center of the Earth, so new deposits are
being formed all the time.

Ruppert is nothing less than a propagandist for the energy companies.
