"NanoAging" is still using his old tricks -- getting a list of important people to show apparent support for his "institute" and asking for money. I thought that the site might have gone when it was down over the weekend, but it is back with a vengeance, with masses of "opportunities" to send money, even involving PayPal. The Foresight Institute is lead by responsible and well qualified people with university education. Given that the Foresight Institute does it well, why does the world need yet another organisation purporting to do a similar thing? The cryonics movement welcomes enthusiasm. It does not welcome unqualified people bringing the movement into disrepute by money gathering schemes. I see that the link to Alcor's web site still appears on the same "cracking" page as a request for money that does not go to Alcor. That "cracking" page really has to go, as does the "donate" frame on the NanoAging home page, and the "cryomouse" page. -- Sincerely, John de Rivaz: http://John.deRivaz.com for websites including Cryonics Europe, Longevity Report, The Venturists, Porthtowan, Alec Harley Reeves - inventor, Arthur Bowker - potter, de Rivaz genealogy, Nomad .. and more Rate This Message: http://www.cryonet.org/cgi-bin/rate.cgi?msg=27115
