While the above link does not clarify all the possible questions regarding what COULD happen on cryonics cases, the overarching tone is pretty clear. Basically, insurance companies (inscos) don't like and don't want to pay for FRAUD. Since I use only inscos who have put IN WRITING, ON COMPANY LETTERHEAD, WITH EXECUTIVE APPROVAL, that they have NO problem with cryonics as a concept, the possibility of these inscos asking for their death benefit back when and if you are rescusitated is vanishingly small. But, as Kennita and others have pointed out, as time goes by things could change. Which is why I issued my correction, and made my views on this more provisional. Thanks, Bryan, for your link. This should probably put this thread to bed for a few years at least. What MIGHT be more relevant is the surprising fact that after 2 years most inscos pay even if you suicide. This may be VERY important if cryonics vendors were allowed by public policy to allow voluntary deanimation. Let's talk about something like why there aren't more scientists like Pichugan, Wowk, and Fahy working on organ and whole body vitrification. And what we can individually and collectively do to change this for the better.
