I wonder if the Cryonet system for barring people whose
reputation is too low includes any provision for gradual
reinstatement.

The concept of redemption is out of favor these days (e.g. no
one seems to believe, anymore, that a child molester is
capable of paying his debt to society; he becomes stigmatized
for life). However I think it would be fair if someone like
Mr. Depres could be allowed a second chance, so that he could
have his embargo removed after x number of weeks or months.
In other words, his banishment to purgatory should be
temporary rather than eternal, just in case he achieves
enlightenment and, with it, redemption.

Since the "reputation too low" system is point-based, you
could have a simple algorithm to deduct a negative point each
month until the score returns to zero. Just a thought.
