It would seem that during the first year or so only the minimum of it's goals should be persued. The most important thing to get it started and then to add responsibilities over time. The benefits of doing this is that we might be able to regulate ourselves rather than have bureaucrats (who know little about cryonics) do it to us in the future. We cryonicists know so much more about how we should be regulated to insure that the companys that are storing our bodys have the best chance of surviving in the future until such time as we can be reanimated. I suggest a small board of directors to run this company, at least at first, perhaps 5 members, elected by those people who are presently signed up for cryonics suspension at the time. Funding could be be the suspension companys pledging to underwrite the cost of running this company with a percent of their annual income. A small price to pay to have a quality group of *our* people helping to watch over our movement. Probably much less than what it would cost to fend off bureaucrats in the future that don't understand much about cryonics. For example they want to have goveernment agencies that handle dead bodies (with no expectation of future reanimation) be the agency that we would report to. I have been to funeral board meetings when I helped move Alcor to Arizona. They have no idea of what we are about, they have no respect for what we are trying to do, they are not competant to manage us.
