I know I've seen cost breakdowns in the past.  Someone else will probably
point you towards them.  But as for your thinking that there is a
fundamentally less expensive method, there simply is not.  Solar power is
incredibly expensive.  Your startup costs for a LN2 generator would also be
huge.  There's a reason we use oil, coal, natural gas, etc.  It's because
it's cheap.  There's also a reason why companies specialize in gas
production and distrubution.  Again, because it's cheap.  The only ways I
can think of to reduce the cost of cryonics are:
Offer neuro only (this is a very significant savings)
Don't do research (but is this really a good idea?)
Get more people signed up so that there is a storage facility in every large
city.
