How did you decide that a rural location is safer than an urban location?
Surely you are aware that fire trucks cannot get to rural houses as easily?
People who have accidents while farming have long travel times to hospitals,
resulting in a higher death rate. I would just like to know why you think
it's safer in the boonies. I don't necessarily agree. Just about the only
advantage I can see is during some sort of terrorist attack. But that is
simply an emotional response. Statistically, it just doesn't make sense.
Do you know how big the attack would have to be to endanger the facility?
Even 9/11 only destroyed a few dozen city blocks. Most NY businesses easily
escaped. Crime rates are higher in cities, but that would just mean you
have to park your vehicle inside and get a good security system. Cell
phones usually don't work as well in the country, so trouble communicating
is an additional risk. What I'm getting at is that an urban location might
very well be safer.
