X-Message-Number: 27277 From: "John de Rivaz" <> Subject: press releases Date: Tue, 25 Oct 2005 12:24:57 +0100 People **may** (and I am not convinced they are in every instance) be legally entitled to copy press releases and then publish them as their own work. But responsible, knowledgeable and qualified journalists will add value to the article (eg by interviewing people and researching around the subject) if they want to present it as their own work. I am sure that people who want to post to CryoNet will build a better reputation if they make their own contribution to such articles totally clear. There is a value in finding information, there is a value in writing it. They are different. Maybe CryoNet posters can pat themselves on the back for finding it, but they should not also encourage people to pat them on the back for writing it if they did not. -- Sincerely, John de Rivaz: http://John.deRivaz.com for websites including Cryonics Europe, Longevity Report, The Venturists, Porthtowan, Alec Harley Reeves - inventor, Arthur Bowker - potter, de Rivaz genealogy, Nomad .. and more Rate This Message: http://www.cryonet.org/cgi-bin/rate.cgi?msg=27277
