Daniel Shays suggests that we buy a ranting and dishonest anti-cryonics

book. This is not an important matter, but it is not exactly a shrewd idea. Why
aid and abet the author's income and his publicity?

There are plenty of deserving and useful books on cryonics, life extension,
and human improvement. I'll just mention a few that I like, which could use
more current attention.

The Hedonistic Imperative, by David Pearce. (_www.hedweb.com_
(http://www.hedweb.com) )

Forever for All, by R.M. Perry (available at booksellers such as Amazon).

Death & Anti-Death Vol.1, ed Charles Tandy (available at booksellers such as
Amazon).

Death & Anti-Death Vol 2, ed. Charles Tandy (available at booksellers such
as Amazon).

The Prospect of Immortality, RCW Ettinger, new edition ed. Charles Tandy,
with contributions by James Yount and R. Michael Perry (available at
booksellers such as Amazon).

Man into Superman, RCW Ettinger, new edition ed. Charles Tandy, with
contributions by Nick Bostrom, R.M. Perry, and Charles Tandy (available at
booksellers such as Amazon).

Youniverse by RCW Ettinger, limited edition 2005, available from the
Immortalist Society. (See Cryonics Institute web site.)

Incidentally, Dr. Bostrom, formerly on the Yale philosophy faculty, is now
at Oxford, where he has been appointed to create and direct the Future of
Humanity Institute, part of the James Martin 21st Century School at Oxford
University.
