Average temperature was 23.7 C during this run. Estimated maximal longevity using the formula (363 - T*11.2) is 98 days. Ginkgo biloba at a 20 mg dosage increased survival in run #37. This run retests ginkgo at a variety of dosages. Blue corn additions rendered the surface of the fly food somewhat wet. I had noticed that when this occurred in the past that survivals tended to be reduced, probably through increased bacterial growth. Nonetheless maximum survival was increased, although admitedly control survival was rather poor. Once again the 20 mg dosage of ginkgo proved to be advantageous, while higher dosages proved to be toxic. Of great interest, a lower 10 mg dose offered a better result. Terminalia arjuna bested the control bottles as well.
