Subject: 219'th update on fly longevity experiments

This is the 219'th update of my fly longevity experiments. Average
temperature was 23.6 C during this run. Estimated maximal longevity using
 the formula (363 - T*11.2) is 98 days.
In Run #2 coenzyme Q10 increased median, but not maximum longevity.
Confidence was not high that this was a real effect. In this run I place
coenzyme Q10 under closer scrutiny, and also test the Q-Gel version of
this supplement. Q-Gel is supposed to have improved absorption
 characteristics.
Median lifespan was unaffected by standard coenzyme Q10. High dose
Q-Gel proved to be toxic. Two doped flies exceeded the estimated maximum
lifespan. Although this is almost certainly a chance finding, nonetheless
further testing of coenzyme Q10 has been scheduled.
