X-Message-Number: 27941 From: "Beth Bailey" <> Subject: SciFi book that showcases cryonics and nanotechnology Date: Tue, 16 May 2006 15:55:47 -0400 If anyone is looking for an interesting science fiction novel that showcases cryonics and nanotechnology, check out "Counting Heads" by David Marusek. In 2134, Eleanor Starke is irretrievably murdered. As a result, her deceased daughter's cryogenically frozen head becomes the object of a power struggle between different factions fighting over money, political power, and human destiny. I thought the book was well written, fast paced, and portrayed cryonics in a positive manner. In fact, I give it 3 out of 4 dewars.
