Subject: Re: New anti-Cryonics book

Cryonics and strange futures have been a science fiction theme since The

Sleeper Wakes and Rip Van Winkle. In The Time Machine Wells was actually apeing
the defects of his own culture, not trying to predict the real future. But
most stories tell about exciting difficulties, since ease and contentment are

soon boring. We like adventure and "Adventure is someone else having a lot of
trouble -- far away!"

So this sounds like a mediocre science fiction story, nothing to get excited
about.
