Are you really taking into account all the things that must be in place for this to be even a remote possibility? As a very basic start, we must have technology that can disassemble and map living tissue one atom at a time. Do you realize how distant this is? We're talking many many orders of magnitude from where we currently sit. We have not even modeled the most basic neural logic circuit. I don't think that any hardware or software that we have ever built could be considered intelligent. True, we may have built computers that perform as many calculations per second as a cricket, but I don't consider those computers to have any intelligence, even if scaled up. It's a long long way from where we need to be. You will die many decades before there is any significant progress. Uploading is absolutely pointless to discuss.
