X-Message-Number: 28228 From: Date: Sat, 15 Jul 2006 11:02:07 EDT Subject: tissue storage at CI See the CI web site _www.cryonics.org/dna.html_ (http://www.cryonics.org/dna.html) Specifically mentioned are tissue samples of hair, skin, or inner cheek, for possible uses including cloning, although CI itself does not do cloning or even advocate it. I don't recall the exact wording of our policy, if one has been formally adopted, but I see no reason why CI should not or could not accept frozen embryos, or frozen sperm or eggs. The preparation of the specimens would be entirely up to the member, CI merely accepting them for liquid nitrogen storage. At the other end, CI would merely release the specimens to the owner according to contract and would have no part in later events (unless of course by later agreement). R.E.
