X-Message-Number: 28252 From: Subject: British Columbia Anti-Cryonics Law Update Date: Fri, 21 Jul 2006 12:01:47 US/Eastern I have spoken to Tom Acquiline about the British Columbia Business Practices & Consumer Protection Authority (BPCPA) Interment & Funeral Services Advisory Group meeting that was held on Wednesday, July 19th. He assured me that when the subject of cryonics arose, discussion focused on the issue of informing funeral directors that they could assist in preparation and shipment in a cryonics case without being in violation of BC law. Mr. Acquiline informed me that there would be information placed on the BPCPA website concerning this matter (he could not give me a URL as yet) and that information would also be sent to BC funeral directors directly. He believes that the cryonics community will be satisfied with this result. We shall see. -- Ben Best Rate This Message: http://www.cryonet.org/cgi-bin/rate.cgi?msg=28252
