Hi again!

Basically Mike explains very well the issue of money as I commented on it. A
hired craftsman is not asked to believe. I also hope that other cryonics
groups can get to a state where they will have cryonicists in charge but
work with hired and very competent help when needed. Still, a real cryonicist
must always be present for direction. And that's the point at which money
leaves the stage and devotion and loyalty come on.

I will also say that even now, particularly for smaller groups who don't
live near a cryonics center, the money to do this hiring simply does not
exist --- and I remember how that was once true even of Alcor. Sometimes the
only person available was a volunteer who acted for love rather than money.
As a libertarian, I don't see that volunteers are to be despised at all.
People DO act for other than monetary reasons. (Remember: libertarianism isn't
the idea of making everything a business, it's the idea of letting people
do their own thing -- and it often follows, but not always, that they will
develop a business when they do so).
