X-Message-Number: 28574 Date: Fri, 13 Oct 2006 23:49:42 -0600 From: Subject: If Flavonoid Were My Name, Rudi's Misspelling It Would Be Rud... Rudi Hoffman takes me to task for posts that he thinks could be more appropriate, civilized and acceptable. I assume he meant the following? >Message #28555 >Date Fri, 06 Oct 2006 131337 -0600 > From >Subject Alcor Conference - Please Post HERE > >The Alcor Conference is underway, and many folks could not attend for >various reasons. Please post HERE any helpful information/reports. I >would especially be interested in hearing more detail on Alcor's >"reanimation funding" project, recently announced in a rather cryptic >manner but that more information would be presented at the Conference. Is it that the word "please" which I used twice, is inappropriate, uncivilized and unacceptable - in Florida? Now I fully realize going to such a conference affects people differently. Some folks take a long time to catch up and unwind, afterwards. Typically though, others are, if the conference was really so superb, still so full to the brim from it that they can't wait to tell everyone else about it right away! What happened here? Hearing nothing, 6 days later I posted another message - the one that Rudi replied to. Maybe I sounded a little irritated that no one had taken the time to reply to the previous one, but "presumptuous, demanding, and arrogant," "obnoxious and rude"?? And not just that but the flaming too - I loved it! Howbeit personally undeserved, of course. You can do better than that, Rudi. But you did explain yourself as to why you were in the mood you were in - gosh, almost sounded like an apology. Actually I think you were more po'd than anything about my request for: >Tell us what they had to say about their new >Reanimation Fund. You've already talked about the idea - you were going to >do one yourself, I believe. How's that coming along? Or is it the same as >Alcor's? Or did they trump yours? Since it includes about you personally. You want presumptuous and demanding? Naw, I'll give you another week to unwind before I ask again, if you haven't found the time away from your puppies and insurance sales to do so by then. Thank you in advance. Rudi also said: >I am hoping that the entire conference will be available on a downloadable >video or podcast format from the Alcor site, at some point. > >I do know the entire thing was professionally filmed. Now there's a great idea! But haven't past conferences also been taped? Where are the downloads for them? Rate This Message: http://www.cryonet.org/cgi-bin/rate.cgi?msg=28574
