X-Message-Number: 2878 Date: 12 Jul 94 01:45:24 EDT From: Mike Darwin <> Subject: CRYONICS Graphics Thomas' suggestions are welcomed. However, I would point out the following: 1) I know how to turn computers on (mine anyway). 2) I know how to shout at them. 3) That is the extent of my knowledge about computers. I do not apologize for this. I am long past being ashamed of it. It is the way it is. I would love to be able to post the graphics and the charts -- and yes they are all on computer; I use Microsoft Draw and Delta Graph and Excel for my graphing/spreadsheet functions. I will not however spend any time agonizing over how to get this stuff to you, dear readers. And please, do not torture EITHER of us by calling me up or sending me postings which say "Oh its very simple (implied: you fool) you just implement a c/bias/ dot three command, downlad the genie from c.cyber1 and upload to your hardened softie after being sure to give the Yt.XZ command putting it in directly to D' drive and then to convert your file to GIF you .... PLEEEEZEE! If someone wants to COME OUT HERE AND SET IT UP FOR ME, GREAT! Otherwise please don't harasss me. I am VERY busy and posting these things even in their crude form takes more time that I probably should be spending. I will commit to learning a simple set of steps to send along graphics -- but only after some other kind person (implied: masochistic fool) implements it. ( And please don't wipe all my data doing it!!!!!!!) By way of example I spent nearly 2 hours unhashing the charts in the case history after converting them to DOS text to send to Kevin. And of course, all my work was nicely rehashed by the transmission (although admittedly nowhere near as bad as the first time). Please keep in mind that I am operating a 7200 square foot facility, caring for nearly 20 dogs, writing case historires, doing housekeeping (including the lawn and hedges) doing research, etc with only some occassional help from Candy Wood and Al Lopp. At the end of my 14 hour days I am not in the mood to do much except go home and watch old movies on TV.
