X-Message-Number: 28991 From: "Chris Manning" <> References: <> Subject: Bedford now mentioned by Alcor Date: Sat, 20 Jan 2007 12:18:20 +1100 I recently commented that there had been no mention of the 40th anniversary of the first cryonic suspension, that of Dr James Bedford on 12 January, 1967. Well, the current (January, 2007) issue of 'Alcor News' does have an item about it, 'Happy Bedford Day' which includes a link to their article 'The First Suspension': http://www.alcor.org/Library/html/BedfordSuspension.html While on the subject of Alcor, can someone explain something that has puzzled me for some time: In the picture of their premises on their website, it looks as if Alcor occupies all of a fairly substantial building. Also, the website says Alcor 'purchased a building in Scottsdale, Arizona in 1993'. But their address is given as: 7895 East Acoma Drive Suite 110, Scottsdale, Arizona 85260 This seems to suggest that they occupy only a part of the building. Or does it just mean that Suite 110 is where their receive their mail? Rate This Message: http://www.cryonet.org/cgi-bin/rate.cgi?msg=28991
