X-Message-Number: 29067 Date: Sun, 4 Feb 2007 09:08:25 -0800 (PST) From: david pizer <> Subject: land in Mayer --0-404745804-1170608905=:53458 LAND IN MAYER Someone posted something about land in Mayer which professed to be a sort of a comp and showed a 2 acre parcel for $39,500 that was supposed to be near Mayer and then added the market is real bad and buyers should be able to get the land for even way less. I looked up the MLS number and the land mentioned claimed to be near Mayer. Actually it is about 15 miles from Mayer and the last 10 miles of that a rough dirt road in an area called Breezy Pines - nothing like Mayer but way out in the remote mountains. The land in Mayer that is near the land I have for sale sells for much more. For instance right accross the highway (the nearest land for sale to this land) is an area called Bensch Ranch. The better lots there sell for about $100,000 and are less than one acre in size. Other similar land to this in the area, is presently offered for about $50,000 to $75,000 per acre. The market in Mayer is not bad. It is not as good as it was a year ago, but it is a better market than Phoenix and most of the rest of the state. In my opinion, as an active real estate investor in Arizona, this is one of the best investments in the state. However, it is my hope that cryonicists won't be buying this land to resell to noncryonicists and just make money on it. I would hope cryoncists would buy this land to keep to move here and retire someday and live among other cryoncists. David Pizer By the way, we now have pictures of the land on the Ventrist website.
