I was aware there is controversy about Vitamin E and quit taking it for a while, but recently I've been taking it again to make CoQ10 more absorbable. As you may know, statins (e.g., Zocor) interfere with the normal biosynthesis of CoQ10 which can cause significant problems. I do not take statins anymore. I do not recommend statins. In fact, I recommend against them now. The risk-to-benefit ratio is just too high, and there appear to be much safer alternatives for heart health. (I will continue to take supplemental CoQ10 though -- probably always.) I do not believe in the "Cholesterol as Villain" hypothesis anymore. There are several compelling books out on the subject. One of the best, in my opinion, is found (and reviewed) here: _http://www.amazon.com/Great-Cholesterol-Con-Anthony-Colpo/dp/1411694759/sr=1- 1/qid=1170731776/ref=pd_bbs_1/104-3450703-1616758?ie=UTF8&s=books_ (http://www.amazon.com/Great-Cholesterol-Con-Anthony-Colpo/dp/1411694759/sr=1-1/qid=11707 31776/ref=pd_bbs_1/104-3450703-1616758?ie=UTF8&s=books) However, note (as you probably did) that my link was about Vitamin D, not E. I hope you watch the video: _http://www.insinc.com/onlinetv/directms13oct2005/softvnetplayer.htm_ (http://www.insinc.com/onlinetv/directms13oct2005/softvnetplayer.htm) Also note (as you probably did) my new email address. I plan to use from now on for CryoNet posting. dcj Content-Type: text/html; charset="US-ASCII" [ AUTOMATICALLY SKIPPING HTML ENCODING! ] Rate This Message: http://www.cryonet.org/cgi-bin/rate.cgi?msg=29083
